WHITESBORO, Texas (CBSDFW.COM) – An off-duty Celina police officer and his younger daughter have been killed in a crash involving a rubbish truck in Grayson County Monday afternoon, officers mentioned.
The crash occurred at round 3:30 p.m. on Freeway 567 close to Previous Sanborn Ranch, simply east of Whitesboro.

The Texas Division of Public Security mentioned there have been a number of autos eastbound on the highway that have been stopped for a college bus dropping off college students. A rubbish truck going eastbound was going over a hill and didn’t cease in time, inflicting a chain-reaction crash with at the least 5 different autos.
Celina metropolis officers later confirmed 33-year-old officer KC Robinson and his 6-year-old daughter, Brynlee, died on the scene of the crash. Robinson was with the division for over three years.

“Each coronary heart on this tight-knit group breaks tonight as we study of the lack of Detective KC Robinson and his daughter, Brynlee,” mentioned Celina Mayor Sean Terry. “Detective Robinson served our metropolis as passionately as he liked his household, and we are going to deeply miss his presence on our streets and in our lives.”
“We’re shocked and saddened to study that Detective Robinson and his daughter have died on this tragic accident. Our hearts and prayers are with the Robinson household and our Celina police household, as this complete group grapples with this horrific information,” Metropolis Supervisor Jason Laumer mentioned.
There have been a number of different victims who have been taken to hospitals in unknown situation, in accordance with Texas DPS.
