An Instagram influencer who accused a Latino couple of making an attempt to kidnap her kids in December was arrested for mendacity concerning the incident.
Katie Sorensen of Sonoma, California is charged with giving false info to police, in accordance with the Petaluma Argus-Courier.
Sorensen recounted the made-up incident on two Instagram movies that had been considered almost 5 million instances. She has since made her account personal.
The mom claimed Sadie and Eddie Martinez tried to kidnap her kids at a craft retailer, in what’s now extensively considered as a case of racial profiling, the newspaper stated.
