CANBERRA, Australia (AP) — Britain and Australia had agreed on a free commerce deal that might be launched later Tuesday, Australian Commerce Minister Dan Tehan mentioned.
The settlement is the primary for Britain because it left the European Union.
British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and his Australian counterpart Scott Morrison had reached settlement on the deal throughout negotiations in London, Tehan mentioned.
“Each prime ministers have held a constructive assembly in London in a single day and have resolved excellent points in relation to the FTA,” Tehan mentioned in an announcement, referring to the Free Commerce Settlement.
“Their settlement is a win for jobs, companies, free commerce and highlights what two liberal democracies can obtain whereas working collectively,” Tehan added.
Each prime ministers would make a proper announcement on Tuesday morning in London and launch additional data, he mentioned.
Tehan mentioned he spoke to Morrison on Tuesday. Australian Agriculture Minister David Littleproud described the deal as a “in-principle settlement.”
