Washington, D.C.-A web based workshop organised by Elevate International, a global growth group, featured a first-time partnership between the College of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) and the College of The Gambia (UTG) that targeted on creating a co-productive sustainable tourism plan between college students from each universities.
The workshop featured graduate college students from UTSA School of Structure, Development and Planning led by Dr. Greg Griffin and Dr. Sedef Doganer and college students from UTG Faculty of Enterprise and Public Administration led by Dr. Momodou Mustapha Fanneh and Professor Lamin Drammeh.
The seminar/workshop was an advance research of the environmental, financial, and socio-cultural elements of sustainable tourism growth and the fundamental ideas and theories of sustainability in vacationer locations. Matters included sense of place, identification, neighborhood participation, sustainable design of town areas and vacationer locations with an emphasis on sustainable tourism potentials, tourism futures and advertising tourism locations.
Dr. Greg Griffin stated the seminar aimed to assist college students construct worldwide communication and networking expertise and the scholars that participated, “will all undoubtedly form higher communities by means of their lifelong contributions.”
The Dean of UTG Faculty of Enterprise and Public Administration, Dr. M.M.Fanneh, thanked UTSA school and Elevate International for organising such an impactful academic program with, “the hope that any such seminar can be a steady partnership.”
The scholars who participated within the seminar all expressed delight and thanked their schools for organising a resourceful workshop. “We shared some sensible ideas and tips on discovering options and the perfect practices in sustainable tourism.
