NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Police have made an arrest after a baby was attacked at a Manhattan park.
The suspect has been recognized as 29-year-old Nathaniel Direnzo.

Police say round midday Wednesday, Direnzo started to yell at an 11-year-old lady and her classmates in Stuyvesant Sq., then sprayed water at her and tried to assault her.
When the lady tried to battle again, Direnzo allegedly grabbed the 11-year-old by her hair, punched her within the face and wrapped his fingers round her neck.

Direnzo can also be accused of hitting a 15-year-old boy who tried to intervene.
The 11-year-old lady was taken to an area hospital in steady situation, and the 15-year-old was handled by EMS on the scene.

Direnzo is dealing with a number of prices, together with strangulation and assault.
