Jeff Cheong has taken over as DDB’s Singapore CEO on January 1. David Tang, who was beforehand serving in two roles, as CEO for Singapore and Asia, will now function chairman for Singapore whereas maintaining is Asia CEO position.
DDB Singapore is the hub workplace for DDB in Asia.
Cheong joined DDB in 2008 as managing director and government artistic director of Tribal Worldwide Singapore, the place he grew to become VP in 2013 and Asia president in 2014. In 2018, he grew to become deputy president and in 2020, he was appointed deputy CEO of DDB Group Singapore.
The company credit Cheong with shaping Tribal into an award-winning digital company and with growing DDB’s Complete Expertise (TX) method to supply service design, know-how consulting, and enterprise transformation for purchasers similar to Changi Airport, JTC, Exxon and Manulife.
DDB Singapore gained 4 golds and one silver at Marketing campaign Asia-Pacific’s Company of the Yr Awards in 2021.
In a launch, Tang described Cheong as a “artistic maverick, digital revolutionary, and energiser man” and stated the company required his management as a result of “a fast-and-agile, omni-channel, social-frenzy world requires a brand new type of artistic management.”
Cheong has labored with manufacturers together with Unilever, Nokia, Heineken, Exxon, and Johnson & Johnson. At DDB, he has led work for presidency companies, together with the Public Utilities Board (PUB) and the Nationwide Environmental Company (NEA). Latest examples of labor he led embody the Covid-19 vaccination marketing campaign that includes Phua Chu Kang for the Ministry of Communication and Info (MCI).
Cheong lauded the group at DDB and stated he was “each honoured and excited” to guide the following technology of expertise at DDB.
