President Joe Biden will deploy navy medical groups to hospitals in six states the place COVID-19 infections are surging.
Groups of medical doctors, nurses and scientific personnel might be despatched as early as subsequent week to New York, New Jersey, Ohio, Rhode Island, Michigan and New Mexico, Biden is predicted to announce on Thursday alongside Secretary of Protection Lloyd Austin and FEMA Administrator Deanne Criswell.
Biden in December directed the protection secretary to prepared 1,000 navy medical personnel to deploy to hospitals throughout the nation as wanted in January and February. The groups now being readied would be the first to begin arriving at hospitals.
