Cathay Pacific intends initiating the world’s longest industrial passenger flight with a 17-hour continuous route between New York and Hong Kong.
The ultra-long flight has been designed to avoid Russian airspace. The brand new route can even get rid of a stopover in Los Angeles which was a part of the earlier routing.
In keeping with Bloomberg Information, the airline will join JFK Worldwide to Hong Kong through a flight over the Atlantic Ocean, the UK, southern Europe and elements of central Asia.
The airline is within the strategy of acquiring overflight permits; it has already confirmed that its Airbus SE A350-1000 is able to working the prolonged route which covers a distance of about 16 618km.
The brand new continuous flight will probably be 1 269km longer than Singapore Airways’ New York to Hong Kong route which is at present deemed the world’s longest passenger flight.
