The YouTube channel of the Russian State Duma, Russia’s decrease home of parliament, has been terminated.
“Google is dedicated to compliance with all relevant sanctions and commerce compliance legal guidelines. If we discover that an account violates our Phrases of Service, we take acceptable motion,” a Google spokesperson confirmed to POLITICO in an announcement, including that the corporate is “carefully monitoring the state of affairs for any updates and modifications”. YouTube is absolutely owned by Google. The transfer was first reported by AFP.

Based on Russia’s state-owned information company TASS, Russian telecom watchdog Roskomnadzor has requested Google “to carry restrictions” on the channel.
YouTube had in early March blocked Kremlin-backed media retailers RT and Sputnik — first in Europe, then globally.
