NEW MILFORD, N.J. — Bergen County officers need solutions from a water firm after main flooding final week in New Milford.
Streets have been submerged in waist-deep water and first responders used boats to succeed in individuals who have been trapped of their properties.
Heavy rain that began Thursday evening overwhelmed the Oradell Reservoir. The run-off swamped the Hackensack River, which crested Friday.
Bergen County Government Jim Tedesco mentioned he needs a gathering with the water firm’s CEO.
“With the climate forecast calling for a rain storm over a two-day interval, what have been the plans that Veolia-Suez was making to deal with any attainable state of affairs of flooding?” Tedesco mentioned.
Tedesco mentioned he needs to know what the water stage within the reservoir was final week and if the flood gates and spillways have been open.
