“This tentative settlement respects the onerous work being achieved every day by the compassionate staff at Solar Parlor House and it was achieved because of the diligent efforts of representatives from the union and the County of Essex,” mentioned CUPE nationwide consultant Suanne Hawkins.
No particulars of the three-year settlement have launched. The union will maintain a ratification vote on July 6 earlier than the deal goes Essex County council for approval.
“I wish to thank the union representatives for partaking in constructive discussions across the negotiating desk and for thus ably representing the pursuits of Solar Parlor House workers, who’ve stood so robust in the course of the pandemic,” mentioned Kristie Cronin, director of human assets for the County of Essex.
The earlier settlement expired in March.
