Areas of Musina in Limpopo are flooding after heavy thunderstorms on Monday, February 22. Authorities have issued warnings to keep away from driving, as many roads are fully submerged or severely broken.
‘The heavy thunderstorms have precipitated havoc in some components of Musina. Different areas do not need electrical energy whereas others are inaccessible,’ the Musina Municipality wrote on Fb.
‘Dad and mom are suggested to maintain their faculty kids at dwelling till it’s protected to maneuver round. Any catastrophe must be reported to your ward councillors or our Catastrophe Administration Group led by Mr Ravhuanzwo (0794910221) or Mr Mokobi (0794910322),’ the Municipality added.
The city recorded as much as 200mm of rain in some areas on Monday.
In response to Climate.com, no extra thunderstorms are anticipated for the province on Tuesday. Musina is forecast to have a cloudy morning with solar within the afternoon, and solely 7% probability of precipitation.
