MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — The Hennepin County Sheriff’s Workplace says they, along with a number of different regulation enforcement companions, cracked down as soon as once more on drag racers in downtown Minneapolis and surrounding areas.

“The very fact of the matter is that these persons are making a harmful setting that threatens the security of others whereas damaging property. It is a sample of conduct that has plagued cities throughout the metro, particularly this summer season,” Elder stated.
On Saturday, the county sheriff’s workplace stated that they had made 59 site visitors stops, arrested 15 individuals, issued 21 citations and recovered 9 firearms.
“To be clear, these are NOT joyriders. They’re extraordinarily harmful and extremely damaging,” the sheriff’s workplace stated.
Along with Minneapolis and St. Paul police and Hennepin County deputies, officers with Metro Transit, the State Patrol, Brooklyn Park Police, and the Ramsey County Sheriff’s Division have been all concerned within the crackdown.
