JSC Ausmah SV plans to start serial production of Ausmah trucks in Ulyanovsk, Russia, in the first quarter of 2026. The Ulyanovsk Region Industrial Development Center announced the assembly project, which will use the former Isuzu site. The company expects to produce around 900 vehicles during 2026, with a longer-term ambition to exceed 5,000 vehicles annually.
The initial programme includes N1 and N2 truck chassis with internal combustion engines. The listed gross vehicle weights are 3.5 and 5 tonnes, with 8- and 12-tonne chassis in the N2 category. These figures describe total vehicle weight, rather than payload. The programme centres on compact trucks for urban goods transport. The center’s August 1 statement gives the initial annual production programme more precisely as 875 vehicles.
Premises and project support
The production building has been adapted for truck chassis manufacturing, according to the center. It includes warehouse accommodation for vehicle kits and facilities for personnel, including changing rooms, showers and a cafeteria. The site belongs to the Ulyanovsk Region Development Corporation. Sollers leased it until the middle of 2024, after which Ausmah SV became the leaseholder. The assembly plan concerns future serial production.
The regional government and the Russian Industry and Trade Ministry are supporting the project. Specialists from NAMI and the Industrial Development Center provide consultation to the team. The center says the company plans to create 100 jobs in the region by the end of 2026, alongside the planned launch of manufacturing.

Components planned for localisation
Ausmah’s localisation programme covers several vehicle systems and major assemblies:
- heating and air conditioning;
- fuel supply and engine cooling;
- transmission components and exhaust systems;
- axles, brakes and steering mechanisms;
- truck cabins.
The center’s statement sets a target of at least 790 localisation points by the end of 2026 and more than 2,000 in 2028. The score is expressed in points, rather than a percentage of vehicle content. Both milestones describe planned progress in local manufacturing.

The proposed vehicle equipment includes heated and ventilated seats, heated mirrors, air conditioning and power steering, according to the center. Those features form part of its description of the truck project, alongside the production and component-localisation plans.
The company behind the project
Ausmah SV was registered in March 2023. Its founder is the Moscow-based joint-stock company Ausmah. The manufacturing project will operate at the Ulyanovsk premises previously used by Isuzu.
