Bridor has completed a $200 million expansion at its bakery in Vineland, New Jersey. The Le Duff Group business says the investment doubles the site’s production capability. A ceremony on January 28, 2026, marked the expansion.
A building of more than 51,000 square feet houses an automated Viennese pastry line and industrial refrigeration. Pastry production began in summer 2025. A replacement automated bread line within the original building is scheduled to start in the second quarter of 2026.
Additional facilities in Vineland
The investment also includes:
- A warehouse and research and development centre.
- A culinary academy and baking centre.
The 2024 site and financing proposal
Bridor Inc. sought financing from the Business Development Bank of Canada and Farm Credit Canada for the expansion at 2260 Industrial Way. The property measured approximately 66,085 square metres at the time of its 2024 assessment, and its existing plant occupied 13,006 square metres. Tree removal and excavation had already taken place.
The expansion proposed in 2024 had a total footprint of approximately 6,225 square metres. It would accommodate an additional production line for bakery products.

The public comment period opened on October 31, 2024. On December 4, 2024, the two financing institutions issued a determination that the project was unlikely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. The assessment covered a project outside Canada.
A separate investment programme in Utah
Bridor’s wider North American expansion also includes a new bakery in the Greater Salt Lake City area. In May 2024, the company outlined nearly $220 million of investment from 2024 to 2029. The proposed facility would manufacture artisan breads and Viennese pastries for American customers and become its fifth North American plant.

The Utah workforce plan envisaged more than 150 new jobs in 2026 and approximately 300 over the longer term. Those employment forecasts relate to the Utah project. Bridor planned to open the Utah facility during 2026; construction remained under way in January.
Bridor manufactures frozen bakery products as part of Le Duff Group. Its breads and Viennese pastries are sold in more than 100 countries, with its existing North American manufacturing locations including New Jersey, Connecticut and Canada.
