LimoNat production starts near Moscow
Agrofactory Naturovo has started bottling carbonated drinks in Lukhovitsy, Moscow Region. The company has invested more than RUB300 million in a project covering the drinks line and an autoclave for cooking and vacuum-packing vegetables. The enterprise has created 50 jobs.
LimoNat drinks contain 60% directly pressed juice. Naturovo is offering the beverage in the following bottle and packaging formats:
- 0.3-litre and 0.7-litre bottles;
- PET packaging and glass.
One operating line has capacity for 20,000 bottles a day, with production volumes dependent on demand. Naturovo plans to launch a second line around May 2024 to bottle juices and still juice-containing drinks. Cider and fruit drinks are also among its planned additions.
The earlier processing-cluster plan
In August 2023, the Moscow Region agriculture ministry announced a broader Naturovo fruit-and-vegetable processing cluster in Lukhovitsy. That plan envisaged investment of RUB207.5 million, construction beginning in 2023 and completion by 2030. Around 100 jobs were expected at the planned enterprise.
The proposed cluster's assortment included cooked vegetables, pickles, natural juices, juice-based beverages, fruit drinks and compotes. Finished products were intended for distribution to Russian regions. Naturovo's existing product range numbered more than 300 items when the project was announced.
The enterprise's cargo turnover then amounted to 2,500 tonnes a month. Naturovo's business combined fruit-and-vegetable processing workshops with distribution centres in Kaliningrad and Moscow Region. Its operations also included neighbourhood shops and the Naturovo Express delivery service.
Company background and financial period
Naturovo-Yar was registered in December 2021. Agrofactory Naturovo held a minority stake in that company, with the remaining interest controlled by Agrofactory Naturovo's owner. Naturovo-Yar generated revenue of RUB51.6 million in 2022.
Agrofactory Naturovo LLC recorded revenue of RUB1.7 billion and net profit of RUB21.2 million for 2022.
Naturovo's Kaliningrad operations began in 1995 with warehouses for storing fruit and vegetables. The company subsequently developed agricultural processing and production under the Naturovo brand, alongside its own vegetable-storage facilities and logistics centre.
